MEETING WITH A LOCAL

Frédéric - Shopkeeper

Your passion in life?

« Travels ».

Your favorite in the south of France?

« The Golfe de Beauduc marine reserve, for its flora and fauna.

With children, I also love canoeing down the Sorgue from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, or the accrobranche at Lagnes ».

3 tourist experiences in the region that you particularly like?

  • Villages of the Luberon. In particular: 1 Bonnieux, the village that never stops rising. 2. La Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, which I recommend visiting early in the morning, around 7am. The atmosphere, the colors, the smells are not the same.
  • Provencal markets. I particularly like the Monday morning market in Bédoin.
  • The Haut-Vaucluse, especially for wine tours (Cairanne, Gigondas, etc.).

Your advice for our guests?

« Look up when you visit Avignon or Villeneuve-Lez-Avignon. On rue du Vieux-Sextier, for example, you can see carved animal heads surrounded by butcher’s implements. This facade used to be a slaughterhouse ».

Music found in your travel playlist?

“Jazz, Sinatra, Music of the 70s”.

Your little grain of madness?

“Have a picnic on the beach or by the river”.

Your favorite local dish?

“Aïoli and pistou soup. Not forgetting, of course, the famous Comptoir du Magasin Italian salad ;-)!”.

If you were a tourist attraction in the region...

“Fly over the region in a hot-air balloon!”
